October 3rd and 4th for our inaugural PhD symposium, Unsettle: Feminist Approaches to Architectural Archives. The symposium will explore how traditional archival institutions and conventional readings can be unsettled, both from within the bounds of the existing archive and through the construction of new types of material collections and indexes. In response to the emerging post-digital archive that includes a multitude of media, materialities, and forms of data, this symposium asks: how can feminism inform the architectural archive’s definitions, constructions, and readings? Who decides the bounds and materials of the archive and who determines what archives are architectural?
